NORFOLK, Va. – “Saturday Morning IPA” by Smartmouth Brewing Company made national headlines last year, with some people even reselling the limited edition beer online for hundreds of dollars. Now the brewery brings back the “magically ridiculous” beer inspired by cereals one last time.
According to a release from Smartmouth, the beer will be on display at the Norfolk and Virginia Beach tasting rooms on Saturday, March 7. The beer will also be distributed as drafts and cans to stores and restaurants in Virginia – but in limited quantities.
Smartmouth said the edition of this beer this year will have a “new and improved” can design.
“Still kids at heart, we threw pounds of marshmallows, some of which we roasted, and completed the flavor profile with lots of citrus and tropical fruity hops,” the brewery said in a release.
Both Smartmouth tasting rooms will celebrate the March 7 re-issue with additional beer releases, live music and pop-ups with food. Specific details about release times, limits on purchases and events will be shared soon, Smartmouth said.
