This year’s Oscars are no joke. Today we have the full list of Oscar nominees announced live this morning. And most of the usual suspects of this award season showed up, with Joker and 1917 at the top.

The 92nd annual Academy Awards will take place on February 9, 2020 in Los Angeles. Some of Hollywood’s greatest names appear on stage to present the awards. As in the previous year, there will be no traditional Oscar host this year. The ceremony takes place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood in the heart of Los Angeles, California.

This year’s Best Picture nominees include Joker, 1917, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and The Irishman, with all five films nominated in several other categories. As every year, there are some surprises and a few drawbacks. But the list roughly corresponds to the expectations everyone had of the past year, which was a very special event in the cinema.
