Serious Metrolink delays after

Metrolink services were significantly delayed after a “woman stuck her foot between a tram and the platform”.

There is currently no connection between Queens Road and Whitefield after the incident at Crumpsall station.

In a tweet, Metrolink said: “Due to a medical emergency, we have no connections between Queens Road and Whitefield.

“The services operate in Bury – Whitefield, Queens Road – Altrincham and Queens Road – Piccadilly.

“Updates will follow.”

Passengers are currently advised to use their tickets in bus transport.

An eyewitness said a “woman’s foot was caught between a tram and the platform” at Crumpsall station.
