RICHMOND, Va. – A lawsuit has been brought against Governor Northam’s executive order banning guns from the Virginia Capitol, an official at the Virginia Attorney General’s office said.

A hearing is scheduled at 1:30 PM Thursday afternoon at the Richmond Circuit Court.

On Tuesday, Government Northam declared a state of emergency due to threats from militias for a rally of arms rights scheduled for Monday.

Northam’s emergency order will ban all types of weapons, including firearms, from the Capitol from Friday due to possible violence during a rally with weapons rights scheduled for Monday.
